Great opportunities underly every crisis! My career is evidence of that. The biggest breakthroughs have always happened during or after a crisis. As a Chemistry major graduating in a recession, I left my comfort zone early on to begin a career in the computer industry, become the top producer at Hewlett Packard Asia, go on to reinvent myself and transition into investment banking which led to almost two decades of working with extremely talented people at JP Morgan, Morgan Stanley and Deutsche Bank. It's an honour and privilege to have had the opportunity to achieve significant milestones in investment banking such as closing the largest derivatives transaction in Asia (http://uobprivilege.com/assets/pdfs/about/news/2002/news_12sep02.pdf) and launching fixed income at CICC, the first international investment banking joint venture in China (https://www.nytimes.com/1995/08/12/business/international-business-morgan-stanley-establishes-a-joint-venture-in-china.html). Reinvention is not only possible but essential for ongoing career development. I started my financial advisory and executive coaching business in 2009 and fully appreciate the opportunity to serve as Senior Advisor to the Chairman and CEO at JP Morgan Asia.
