Marjan Rintel is the President and CEO of KLM, the flag carrier airline of the Netherlands and a subsidiary of Air France-KLM. She was appointed as CEO in July 2022, after working for 15 years in various positions at KLM and Air France-KLM, including operations, sales, and marketing. Before returning to KLM, Rintel worked for Dutch Railways (NS) for six years, first as Operational Director on the Executive Board and later as Chairman of the Board. Rintel is responsible for the overall strategy and performance of KLM, including setting strategic priorities to strengthen KLM's market position, helping KLM recover from the COVID-19 crisis, making KLM more sustainable, and maintaining and strengthening a customer-focused and efficient organization. She is also committed to further developing the vision and role of innovation at KLM. Rintel is a member of the Executive Committee of the Air France-KLM Group and the CEO Committee. She also holds various other additional positions. In May 2023, Rintel was spotted serving passengers on a flight between Los Angeles and Amsterdam, demonstrating her commitment to understanding the customer experience and the general conditions of the inflight product and service
