Kuldip Paliwal

Kuldip Paliwal is the Managing Director and CEO of First Alliance Bank Zambia Limited, a commercial bank in Zambia licensed by the Bank of Zambia. The bank is a small financial services provider in Zambia, with a niche market in the mining and manufacturing sectors of the Zambian economy. As of December 2019, the bank controlled total assets of ZMW:940,577,000 (US$36,515,500) and employed 112 people. Kuldip Paliwal has been the Managing Director and CEO of First Alliance Bank Zambia Limited since its inception in 1994, along with four other businessmen who founded the bank. The bank has five branches in the country, located in Lusaka, Kitwe, and Ndola. Kuldip Paliwal is a frequent speaker at industry events and forums, including the Finnovex Southern Africa conference, where he spoke about the role of digital banking in promoting economic growth and innovation in Africa1. He has also contributed to academic research on financial inclusion and access to finance for small and medium enterprises (SMEs) in emerging economies, with a specific focus on Zambia
