Kathleen Mccormick is a well-known author of Gold Medal Winning Novel-Dodging Satan. The book is shortlisted for an International Rubery Award that won the 2016 Foreword Review Gold Medal in Humor. She has written stories for people to laugh who may later realize how serious and painful some stories might be. Being a college teacher, writing and teaching are deep rhythms in her life where she is in awe at how writing permits her students and herself to enhance to make sense of the paths an individual choose.
Kathleen Mccormick’s academic books include The Culture of Reading and the Teaching of English, Understanding our Culture, and Reading Our Histories. Furthermore, she has edited MLA volumes on Teaching Italian American Literature, Film, and many more. Dodging Satan which was her full-length novel has won several Independent Publishers Awards in humor and religious writing such as the 2016 Foreword Review Gold Medal in Humor, the 2017 Illumination Book Bronze Medal in Catholic books, etc. Kathleen has been honored with the Chancellor’s Award for Excellence in Teaching in 2014.
