Jamal Saleh is the Director General of UAE Banks Federation (UBF), a position he has held since January 1, 2019. Prior to joining UBF, he spent 29 years in banking, with 19 years in the UAE and 10 years in the USA. He has extensive experience in credit and risk management, having worked in private banking, credit, corporate banking, and risk management for leading banks in the UAE and the USA.Jamal Saleh is a frequent speaker at regional and international forums, including the RiskMinds of Geneva/Amsterdam and the Commonwealth of Nations at Westminster Palace's Central Hall in London. He holds six professional certifications in credit, finance, investment, and risk management. Jamal Saleh is responsible for leading the UAE Banks Federation, which is the professional body representing the UAE banking industry. The Federation is committed to supporting the growth and development of the banking sector in the UAE, and to promoting best practices in banking and finance. Under Jamal Saleh's leadership, the UAE Banks Federation has taken several initiatives to support the banking industry in the UAE, including the development of a comprehensive regulatory framework for the sector, the establishment of a dispute resolution mechanism, and the promotion of financial literacy and education. Jamal Saleh is also a strong advocate for the use of technology in banking and has been instrumental in promoting the adoption of digital banking services in the UAE. He has also been a vocal supporter of the UAE's efforts to become a global hub for financial innovation and technology.
