Dr Florian Zawodsky

Florian S. Zawodsky has been part of EY’s National Office Tax in Berlin since 2015. He completed his PhD at the University of Mannheim on digital platforms and related VAT issues. As a founding member, he is an integral part of EY’s crypto tax working group. He is the author of numerous publications in academically respected journals, associate professor for tax, and speaker at international events. He actively advises several clients related to crypto assets, in particular NFTs. In addition to his focus on crypto issues, he advises clients on VAT, excise, and customs issues. Another focus of his work is reporting obligations, in particular, the reporting and due diligence obligations within the framework of DAC7/DAC8
