Originally launched as an NFT project on Ethereum, Pudgy Penguins has grown beyond profile-picture NFTs into a consumer-focused brand. Led by CEO Luca Netz, Pudgy Penguins focuses on bringing Web3 IP to mainstream audiences. The brand connects digital ownership with the physical world through its products and experiences. Pudgy Penguins was created by four pseudonymous college students: Cole Villemain (ColeThereum), Clayton Patterson (Mrs. Patterson), Mickyj, and Jonah. In April 2022, entrepreneur Luca Schnetzler (Luca Netz) acquired the brand.
