Adam Back is a British cryptographer and cypherpunk, recognized for his substantial contributions to the cryptocurrency sector. Born in London. In July 1970, he earned a Ph.D. in computer science. Adam is credited with inventing Hashcash, which later became integral to the Bitcoin mining process and was initially developed to combat email spam. In 2014, he founded Blockstream, a company dedicated to blockchain technology. Adam was one of the two individuals to whom Satoshi Nakamoto sent an email. The Financial Express in 2016 identified him as a potential Nakamoto. As a trailblazer in digital asset research, he co-founded Blockstream in 2014, a prominent blockchain technology firm where he currently serves as CEO.
