YQ is the founder of AltLayer, a firm that focuses on providing solutions for Web3 applications through innovative technology.

YQ earned his Ph.D. in Computer Science from the National University of Singapore (NUS) in 2017

YQ was recognized in the Forbes 30 Under 30 Asia list in 2019 for his contributions to technology and blockchain.
He has been involved in various blockchain initiatives and has published research in top security conferences, receiving multiple awards for his work.

Before founding AltLayer, he served as the Director of Parity Asia and was the CTO and co-founder of Zilliqa, where he played a vital role in developing the first public blockchain platform with sharding capabilities.
