Warren Buffett is an American investor, philanthropist, and chairman of Berkshire Hathaway. Born in Omaha, Nebraska, he showed an early interest in business by selling gum and newspapers as a kid. He still lives in the same modest house he bought in Omaha back in 1958.​

 

Buffett attended the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania for two years before transferring to the University of Nebraska, where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration in 1951. He later earned a Master of Science in Economics from Columbia Business School in 1951, studying under value-investing pioneer Benjamin Graham. He also took courses at the New York Institute of Finance.​

 

Buffett is based in Omaha, Nebraska. He is not directly involved with blockchain technology or cryptocurrencies. He frequently refers to Bitcoin as "rat poison squared" and believes that digital currencies have no inherent worth.
