Vlad Tenev is a Bulgarian-American businessman who co-founded Robinhood, a popular trading app that allows users to purchase and sell fractional shares in some of Wall Street's most well-known corporations. Since its introduction in 2013, Robinhood has grown to become one of the most popular investment apps in the United States, particularly among younger investors just getting their feet wet in the stock market. In 2019, the app included cryptocurrency trading, allowing individual investors to trade Bitcoin, Ether, and other cryptocurrencies without paying a commission.

Vlad Tenev graduated from Stanford University, earning a bachelor's degree in Mathematics, and University of California, Los Angeles, Master's degree in Mathematics. An individual with enormous skills which includes machine learning, algorithms, start-ups, python, software engineering, matlab, entrepreneurship, data mining,  image processing, strategy, distributed systems, etc. 

Tenev and longtime friend Baiju Bhatt co-founded Robinhood, a zero commission brokerage dedicated to democratizing the finance system. The company has millions of users across the country and is currently valued at $5.6 billion.
