User Info

Micheal Sapir is the founder and chairman of Bethesda-based pro shares, the asset management firm that he founded in 1997, which was worth nearly $29 billion. This firm is known for the creation of exchange-traded funds, the firm manages assets of more than $24 billion,  and pro share specializes in “alternatives ETFs,” with more than 120 funds. In 1997 he founded pro shares with his two partners. First pitching his index mutual funds to financial advisors and professional investors. After 9 years he created an arm of Proshare exclusively focused on ETFs.

To navigate the SEC and bring novel investment products to the retail market he used his securities law experience. Some Of his innovations have been cutting-edge but also controversial. He has created many ETFs, including those that seek mirror investment in hedge funds and private equity, which have been historically inaccessible to retail and private investors.

Alongside Bitcoin and the remainder of the cryptographic money market, BITO has run into some bad luck in mid-2022. The asset lost some 35%  in under 90 days since its October launch. The pattern, nonetheless, is probably going to switch once the crypto market enters one more bull stage and standard financial backers' revenue in computerized resources spikes once more. However, his vision of web3-connected monetary items doesn’t end at Bitcoin ETFs. in the winding down long stretches of 2021, Proshares documented an application with the SEC for an ETF following a list of metaverse organizations.
