Before this role, he held key regulatory and executive positions across Asia and the Middle East, including CEO of the Financial Services Regulatory Authority at Abu Dhabi Global Market (ADGM) and Chief Regulatory Officer at the Singapore Exchange (SGX).
Teng joined Binance in August 2021 as CEO of Singapore operations. He was appointed CEO of Binance in November 2023, succeeding founder Changpeng Zhao, who resigned after pleading guilty to unlawful charges. Previously, Teng was a board member of Lulu Financial Group in 2021–2022.
