Rick McCathron

Rick McCathron is the CEO and President of Hippo Holdings Inc., a leading insurtech company. He has served in these roles since April 2017 and is also a member of Hippo's Board of Directors.McCathron has over 25 years of experience in the property and casualty (P&C) insurance industry. Before joining Hippo, he held senior executive positions at various insurance companies, including First Connect Insurance as President & CEO from 2012 to 2017.Superior Access Insurance as President & CEO from 2007 to 2010.Mercury Insurance Group as Regional Vice President from 2004 to 2007.McCathron is a Chartered Property & Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) and a Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC). He also sits on the board of directors of Spinnaker Insurance Company and First Connect Insurance and serves as an advisor for several other insurtech companies. Under McCathron's leadership, Hippo has grown to become a prominent player in the insurtech space, offering innovative home insurance solutions to customers across the United States
