Andrew Kang is the Co-Founder of Mechanism Capital which invests in cryptocurrency via prop trading, mining, ventures, and secondary markets. He is a cryptocurrency entrepreneur and investor, who has invested in seven investments on record including Mechanism Capital with an investment range of $100k-$5.0M. His investments also include Biconomy, Pontem Network, XDEFI Wallet, Highstreet, Bright Star Studios, Nansen, and Perpetual Protocol. 

 

Founded Mechanism Capital in 2020 with an interest in all aspects of the crypto space with a primary focus on Defi and help the buildout of completely new financial systems and applications on public blockchains. Through Mechanism Capital, he provides direct funding, builds ecosystem tools, manufactures public research, and takes part actively in decentralized governance. Andrew Kang believes that permissionless value transfer networks will direct to an unparalleled era of rapid financial innovation.

 

Through his relentless focus on mechanism design have witnessed firsthand how design models can make or break decentralized protocols and believe that it is essential to critically analyze complicated economic structures. In the past, Kang served in portfolio management and venture capital at Digital Capital Management. Whereas, in 2020, he was deeply engaged in a range of Defi native ventures,  also very active in offering analysis on Defi projects via the Twitter platform.
