Rami Ismail is a video game developer, he co-founded the studio Vlambeer along with Jan Willem Nijman in 2010, where they developed games such as Ridiculous Fishing, Luftrausers, and Nuclear Throne. He was born on 30th October 1988 in the Netherlands. While many of Vlambeer's games were well received, the studio saw overnight success of the 2013 mobile game Ridiculous Fishing, which brought in more than US$1 million in revenue within six months, helping to financially stabilize Vlambeer and both Ismail and Nijman.
Rami continues to advocate the creation of a fairer and more equal industry for developers anywhere through his work at gamedev.world and globalgames.fund. His versatility and work resulted in him receiving a wide range of recognition, including the prestigious Game Developers Choice Ambassador Award, the IndieCade Gamechanger Award, and a Forbes 30 Under 30 nomination.
