Pascal Gauthier, based in Paris, is currently the chairman and CEO of Ledger, a leading platform for securing critical digital assets. He began his career at Kelkoo, a price comparison service acquired by Yahoo for EUR 475 million in 2004. He then joined ad company Criteo in 2008 where he served as COO for 5 years. Before leading Ledger, Pascal worked as a Venture Partner in Mosaic Ventures, a London-based venture capital firm focusing on Series A stage companies.
With a passion for technology and innovation, Gauthier brings extensive experience in leadership and strategic management to his role. Pascal is also non-executive chairman of Kaiko, a financial data website on Bitcoin. He also engineered Komainu: the joint venture between Nomura, Ledger, and CoinShares, that safeguards BTCs and other cryptocurrencies on behalf of financial institutions.
