Mick is the brains behind Mainframe, a blockchain-based communication network that aims to reduce the negative impacts of censorship enforced by various governments throughout the world. He is also a well-known angel investor who has previously invested in numerous successful startups such as MyCrypto.

He is a philanthropist, angel investor, and tech entrepreneur. He is the founder and CEO of Hightop, a blockchain-based digital bank. He also serves as the Chairman of Mainframe (HiFi), an open-source initiative that uses decentralized protocols to give individuals more financial access, services, and freedom.

He was named one of three "business titans who are bringing crypto to mainstream" by Forbes (along with CZ of Binance, and Vitalik of Ethereum). He was named one of the "100 Most Influential People in Crypto'' by Crypto Weekly in 2019. He has spoken at conferences such as DevCon, LaBitConf, TC Disrupt, TedX, and Mobile World Congress. his work has been featured on CNN, ABC, Fortune, the New York Times, and the Boston Globe, the Washington Post, and Techcrunch. He and his wife are big supporters of nonprofits that help underserved or vulnerable people. He recently served on the board of Effect.org, a global non-profit that runs low-cost private schools. He has volunteered in refugee camps in Greece and researched how technology may help humans address problems. He volunteered as a Christian missionary in Brazil for two years, teaching, serving, and loving the Brazilian people. He and Rachel recently donated to Encircle (which helps LGBTQ+ youth), Lifting Hands International (which helps migrants), and Fresh Start Ventures.
