She is best known for her role as a “Dragon” on the CBC television series Dragons’ Den, where she evaluates startup companies and invests in promising ventures. She is one of Canada’s youngest and most successful tech entrepreneurs. Michele Romanow is the Executive Chairman of Clearco (formerly known as Clearbanc), a company she co-founded in 2015 which is based in Toronto, alongside Andrew D’souza. Clearco is a financial technology company with a head count of 176, it provides revenue-based financing to e-commerce and SaaS businesses. The company’s unique approach allows entrepreneurs to access growth capital without giving up equity or taking on traditional debt.
