Michael McCarty

Michael McCarty is the Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Shrimpy, a cryptocurrency portfolio management platform. Shrimpy was founded by McCarty in November 2017 to simplify crypto investing for retail investors. Under McCarty's leadership, Shrimpy has developed tools and features to help investors manage their cryptocurrency portfolios, including portfolio rebalancing, dollar-cost averaging, and advanced reporting. In November 2023, it was announced that BitcoinIRA, a leading cryptocurrency retirement investment platform, acquired Shrimpy.io.As part of the acquisition, McCarty and the Shrimpy team will be joining the BitcoinIRA executive team to help drive the integration and expansion of Shrimpy's features for BitcoinIRA's customers. Before founding Shrimpy, McCarty held various technical roles at companies like Samsung Semiconductor, Boeing, and NASA Ames Research Center. He has a Bachelor of Engineering degree from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
