Matt Levine is a prominent columnist for Bloomberg News, where he covers finance and business topics.

Levine graduated from Harvard University with a degree in classics and later earned a JD from Yale Law School. He was a mergers and acquisitions lawyer at the law firm Wachtell, Lipton, Rosen & Katz.

Levine then worked as an investment banker at Goldman Sachs, focusing on structuring and marketing corporate equity derivatives.He also served as a law clerk for the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit.
