Julian Sawyer

Julian Sawyer is the Chief Executive Officer of Zodia Custody, a cryptocurrency asset-service provider. He was appointed to this position in January 2023, replacing Maxime de Guillebon. Before joining Zodia Custody, Sawyer served as the CEO of cryptocurrency exchange Bitstamp. He also co-founded Starling Bank, a U.K. digital bank, in 2015 and served as its Chief Operating Officer for four years. As the new CEO of Zodia Custody, Sawyer is excited to take the business to the next level and scale it to become the default choice for institutional investors in digital assets. Zodia Custody is a joint venture between Standard Chartered and Northern Trust, and it is registered with the U.K. Financial Conduct Authority. Sawyer brings diverse work experience in the financial services industry to his role at Zodia Custody. He is expected to lead the company's efforts to scale up its operations in 2023 and capitalize on the long-term interest from institutional investors in digital assets
