Kofi Adomakoh is an experienced banker who has worked for more than 29 years in various capacities related to international, corporate, and institutional banking; transaction banking; development finance; project finance; and export finance. Kofi Adomakoh’s career highlights include work with GCB Bank PLC, African Export-Import Bank (Afreximbank), Barclays Bank Ghana Limited, Ecobank Ghana PLC, and The Trust Bank Ghana Limited. He possesses skills relating to structuring and executing transactions in diverse areas including energy, telecommunications, manufacturing, mining, agriculture, healthcare, and transport industries. In addition, his experience encompasses the areas of banking regulations, Basel standards, financial management, relationship building, strategic implementation, and banking technology systems.

Adomakoh began his banking career at The Trust Bank Ghana Limited in 1993, progressing through branch operations, credit, marketing, and institutional banking roles. He subsequently spent more than eight years at Ecobank Ghana PLC, eventually becoming Head of the Institutional Banking Group. From 2005, he worked with Barclays Bank Ghana Limited before moving to Afreximbank, where he held senior project and export finance positions and became Director and Global Head of Project & Asset-Based Finance. He later served as Managing Director of GCB Bank PLC from November 2020 to January 2025.
