J Christopher Giancarlo

Christopher Giancarlo is an American attorney and former business executive who served as the 13th chairman of the United States Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC). Giancarlo was sworn in as a CFTC commissioner on June 16, 2014, for a term expiring on April 13, 2019. He is also a director of the American Financial Exchange (AFX) and a senior adviser to capital markets technology provider Baton Systems. Giancarlo is a blockchain technology advocate and contributor to the global discourse on cryptocurrencies and digital assets.
