Dr Julio Molineros, MS, Ph.D., is a statistical geneticist with over 15 years of experience in medical genetics. He has worked and published extensively on elucidating genes associated with multiple inflammatory diseases including diabetic retinopathy, diabetic nephropathy, systemic lupus erythematosus, and ankylosing spondylitis, as well as on the effects of ancestry components in genetic association. In 2019, Julio joined the Population Analytics & Insights (PAI) team at Johnson & Johnson to support discovery and translational sciences programs. He has worked closely with both internal and external partners to understand better causal genes in inflammatory diseases as well as their effect on treatment response. Now, as an Associate Director on the PAI team – part of the Data Science and Digital Health team within Innovative Medicine R&D – he leads a team with projects supporting non-clinical safety, immunology translational sciences, neurosciences discovery, and oncology discovery.
