Dato Ts Dr Haji Amiruddin Abdul Wahab

Dato’ Ts. Dr. Haji Amirudin Abdul Wahab FASc is the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of CyberSecurity Malaysia, a strategic agency under the Ministry of Science, Technology, and Innovation (MOSTI). He has over 30 years of ICT working experience in the telecom and IT sector in the Government, semi-government, and private sectors. During his leadership as CEO, CyberSecurity Malaysia has contributed significantly to Malaysia’s achievement in attaining the top 10 rankings in the world at International Telecom Union (ITU) Global Cyber Security Index studies. He has also led the agency to win various awards, including the Best Cyber Security Innovation Award 2015 recipient by FireEye Global and Champion Prizes at the World Summit of the Information Society (WSIS) for two consecutive years (2016 & 2017). Additionally, he was selected to receive an ASEAN Award as the Outstanding Chief Information/Security Officer in conjunction with the CSO Summit and Awards 2014 held in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam on 2 December 2014.Dato’ Ts. Dr. Amirudin Abdul Wahab FASc is also a Canadian-based POLCYB (The Society of The Policing of Cyberspace) Non-Executive Board of Directors for the year 2022. He has served as an OIC Task Force Member on ICT and Cyber Security and is currently a Fellow at the Malaysian Institute of He is also a Vice-Chair of the OIC Science and Technology Committee and Executive Committee Member of the Annual Technology and Information Technology meeting which was held in conjunction with Inaugural Annual Coordination Meeting of OIC Arab Saudi. He was also ratified by APEC ECSG on 27 February 2016 as an Expert Member for the 2nd APEC E-Commerce Business Alliance (AECBA)
