Catherine Coley is the former Chief Executive Officer of Binance.US and previously worked at Ripple as the Head of XRP Institutional Liquidity. After five years on the trading floors as a foreign currency associate at Morgan Stanley in Hong Kong and London, Coley worked as a foreign exchange and treasury management advisor before crypto.
She is well known as the Head of XRP Institutional Liquidity at Ripple. She has worked in the global banking industry for over ten years and is considered an authority on a variety of topics connected to crypto/blockchain technology. When Binance, the world's largest cryptocurrency exchange, decided to open a branch in the United States last year, CEO Changpeng Zhao (commonly known as CZ) recruited Coley to lead it.
Coley, a former Morgan Stanley foreign currency trader, is the only female CEO of a major crypto exchange in an industry dominated by men. She has guided Binance.US through the American regulatory procedure to make the service available to consumers in 38 states and to list more than 40 different cryptocurrencies, the most of any US exchange. Coley has also helped Binance.US capitalize on a boom in cryptocurrency demand during the coronavirus outbreak, expanding the service's user base by 82 percent in March after the company's formal launch of its mobile app this year.
