2021	Ronin launched its mainnet in February 2021 as an Ethereum sidechain built to solve the high gas fee problem for gamers. Fueled by the rapid growth of Axie Infinity, the network handled millions of transactions and reached more than $4 billion in all-time NFT trading volume by the end of the year.
2021	Introduced Katana, its native decentralized exchange. It gave players a simple way to swap in-game tokens such as SLP and AXS directly on-chain instead of depending on centralized exchanges.
2022	Ronin reopened its bridge in June after a major security upgrade. The network also began moving away from its closed Proof-of-Authority (PoA) model toward a more decentralized structure by adding validation partners such as Animoca Brands, Google Cloud, and Nansen.
2023	Ronin officially adopted the Delegated Proof of Stake (DPoS) consensus mechanism. This change opened $RON token staking to the public and expanded Ronin from a blockchain focused on a single game into an open ecosystem that welcomed external game studios.
2023	The popular Web3 game Pixels migrated from Polygon to Ronin. The move sparked a sharp increase in on-chain activity and pushed the network’s daily active users (DAUs) into the hundreds of thousands.
2024	The native $RON token secured major exchange listings, including Binance. Supported by the success of Pixels and new games like Wild Forest and Apeiron, Ronin became one of the leading blockchain gaming networks, reaching more than 1.5 million daily active gaming wallets at its peak.
