Rarible is a community-centric platform that enables digital artists and developers to issue and sell customized crypto assets that display ownership of their digital work. It is both a marketplace and a distributed network built on Ethereum that enables users to buy, mint, and sell NFTs on multiple blockchains. Rarible was founded by Alexei Falin in 2020, who is also the CEO and is headquartered in Wilmington, Delaware, United States.
Rarible supports Ethereum, Polygon, Solana, Flow, and Tezos and is planning to integrate many other blockchains in the future. It is proof that NFTs have since evolved beyond virtual cats, such as digital artwork, memes, and even parcels of virtual space. The platform leverages the Ethereum blockchain to attach to an NFT’s code. Rarible’s cryptocurrency, RARI, is the central part of the platform. When owned, the users can vote on proposals that affect the platform, curate featured artwork, and moderate creators. Royalty payments: This means that creators on Rarible can set a percentage of future sales and grab them automatically by issuing a token.
