PRIO Events

PRIO (Peace Research Institute Oslo) is an independent research institution. It conducts research on conditions for peaceful relations between states, groups, and people. They aim to develop theoretical insights, refine research methodologies, and communicate their findings widely. PRIO offers educational and training resources that provide workshops for practitioners and scholars. It has an international staff of approximately 75, of which more than 50 are researchers. It hosts events such as the Annual Peace Address to raise awareness about peace conditions worldwide. PRIO was founded in the year 1959 by Ashok Narasimhan and is located in Norway.
