parallel polis

Parallel Polis, a non-profit non-governmental crypto think tank, was established in 2014 by the art activist collective Ztohoven in Prague as the first hackerspace. Parallel Polis' goals are to safeguard individual freedom and to give people access to the technology and education they need to participate in a free society. The world that Parallel Polis envisions is one in which individuals have the choice to live free from the state.

 

The primary underlying principles on which the entire project is based are those of liberty, independence, creative thinking, and societal growth. The project aims to maintain its state-free status as it runs totally without government assistance, with the majority of the funding coming from donor donations and a small portion from commercial endeavors like operating the world's first bitcoin-only cafe and a unique coworking space. Project Paraleln Polis blends social sciences, art, and contemporary technology. It is predicated on the concepts of liberty, self-determination, and the progressive growth of society.
