The Initiative for Cryptocurrencies and Contracts (IC3) is an academic blockchain research initiative based at Technion-Cornell Institute at Cornell Tech in NYC. The IC3 organization is collaborating with experts in finance and banking, entrepreneurs, regulators, and open source software communities. They help blockchain-based solutions from today’s whiteboards and proofs-of-concept to tomorrow’s fast and reliable financial systems of execution and record. IC3 connects the blockchain community's emerging expertise in computer science that spans cryptography, distributed systems, programming languages, game theory, and system security techniques. The Initiative for Cryptocurrencies and Contracts was established in the year 2016 and the company is placed in New York.
