Evmos

Evmos initially started as Ethermint, a community-driven EVM chain created using the Cosmos SDK to act as a bridge between the Ethereum and Cosmos ecosystems. Ethermint was the starting point for everything Evmos in 2022. Ethermint was successful in accelerating the integration of chains, apps, assets, and users into Cosmos as an EVM library for the Cosmos SDK. Evmos specialized in blockchain services and started its journey in 2021. Evmos opens up a brand-new area for blockchain applications by enhancing the capabilities of smart contracts on the Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM) and enabling cross-chain applications that draw on the user bases and liquidity of several blockchain ecosystems to offer greater unity experiences.
