Italian Distributed Ledger Technology Working Group provides annual Distributed Ledger Technology events. Distributed Ledger Technology (DLT) is gaining popularity every day. The initial DLT applications focus on cryptocurrencies, still, the disruptive qualities of DLT enable other applications in several scenarios of interest in both research and business settings. The DLT technology is appropriate for use in a wide range of application sectors, including the Internet of Things, Cyber-Physical Systems, Edge Computing, and Supply Chain Management, to name just a few. The use of DLT also brings with it new difficulties in terms of decentralization, privacy, security, scalability, and sustainability.
