Berkeley RDI is a new cross-disciplinary campus-wide project is dedicated to improving decentralization research, technology, and teaching and enabling a responsible digital economy. Faculty and students from computer science, finance/economics, and law are already a part of the RDI Center, which will support three pillars: research, education, and community/entrepreneurship. The company aims to protect the welfare of individuals and society, protect privacy, level the playing field and foster innovation, promote fairness, inclusivity, and ethics, and investigate legal frameworks to support innovation and regulatory compliance, the Center will explore new approaches for analyzing and understanding the societal impact of decentralized systems.
