Chris Colbert

Chris Colbert is the managing director of Harvard Innovation Labs, Chris helped build and run several domestic and international companies focused on innovation and business optimization. He earned a BA from Connecticut College, and an International MBA from Duke's Fuqua School of Business and sits on several for-profit and not-for-profit boards.

After leading a bold revamp of Scholastic’s core publishing business and its return to positive growth, he left in early 2014 to explore the world of higher education and technology-enabled adult learning systems.

In 2020, he launched the global podcast series, Insert Human, an examination of the importance of bringing more human understanding into any innovation equation. Chris recently published This Is It, a provocative treatise on how to take advantage of the only life we get, and is working on his second book, Technology is Dead, a provocative expose of the importance of inserting more humanity into the technological advances that increasingly surround us and seemingly define us
