Chema Alonso

Chema Alonso is the Chief Digital Officer of Telefonica, CEO of Telefonica Innovacion Digital, and a member of the Telefonica S.A. Executive Committee since 2016. He oversees innovation, data, platforms, and digital products & services, leading the strategy for digitalizing sales processes and the company's customer communication channels. With a long background in innovation, he is also responsible for the development of Telefónica’s core technologies as well as the company’s relationship with the entrepreneurial ecosystem under an open cooperation model. He also oversees Telefónica Open Gateway, the initiative to open the company’s network to offer telco capabilities through global and standardized APIs.
