Catherine Duddy Wood is a well-known American investor and Founder, CEO and, CIO of Ark Invest, an investment management firm. Wood served as an assistant economist at Capital Group where she worked for three years in few years woods moved to New York to take a job at Jennison Associates as chief economist analyst, and portfolio manager and she worked there for almost 18 years later she debated Henry Kaufman on why she believed interest rates had peaked. With her experience in investing, she co-founded Tupelo Capital Management alongside Lulu C.Wang, a hedge fund based in New York City. In 2014, after her idea of actively managed exchange-traded funds(ETFs) based disruptive innovation was deemed too risky by Alliance Bernstein, Wood left the company and founded Ark Invest.
