Carl Quintanilla is an American journalist and co-anchor of Squawk on the Street on CNBC.Born in Midland, Michigan in 1970.Attended the University of Colorado Boulder, graduating in 1993 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in political science.Interned at Westword Magazine in Denver as a high school student.Worked as a reporter and columnist for the Daily Camera in Boulder from 1991-1993.Served as a staff reporter for The Wall Street Journal from 1994-1999, covering airlines, manufacturing and economic issues.Joined CNBC in 1999, serving as a correspondent for several programs including Business Center.Co-anchored Squawk Box starting in 2005.Joined Squawk on the Street in 2011, which he currently co-anchors along with Money Movers.Covered a wide range of stories for CNBC and NBC News, including the Olympic Games, presidential elections, and international conflicts
