Armando Benitez

Armando B. is the Managing Director of quantitative Engineering at BMO Capital Markets.
As the Managing Director and Head of Quantitative Engineering (QE) and AI (DCT) at BMO Capital Markets, Armando Benitez is a leader in the field of technical strategy, technology management, and fostering a culture of innovation. He has a strong technical background that made him a pioneer and motivator of his team and also led his team and AI experts.

Armando is well-versed in the latest trends and technologies in his field serving as an instructor for machine learning at the School of Continuing Education at the University of Toronto and organizing and speaking at the Deep Learning Toronto Meetup. Armando developed data products for fraud detection and recommender systems at Paytm and obtained his Ph.D. in High Energy Physics, gaining experience with data-intensive analysis at the Large Hadron Collider at CERN and Fermilab.
