Andrei joined Accel in 2014 and works on web3/crypto, corporate software, developer-oriented software, open-source, security, and financial services teams. Andrei has spearheaded Accel's investments in Sorare, a company that combines NFTs, digital collectibles, and global fantasy sports, as well as Sky Mavis, the creator of the play-to-earn game Axie Infinity, over the last year. Andrei was also the driving force behind Accel's investments in Tenderly, a web3 development platform for decentralized apps, and Nansen, a major blockchain analytics startup. Andrei has overseen Accel's investments and ongoing work in startups such as Ermetic, Genesis, Tessian, Raycast, Conductor, Rasa, Rows, Checkly, Humio (bought by CrowdStrike), Celonis, Personio, UiPath, Instana (acquired by IBM), and Monzo, in addition to web3/crypto. Andrei spent a decade in the military before joining Accel.

Andrei worked for Foundation Capital and KCG/Virtu, the largest stocks high-frequency trading firm in the US, for a decade before joining Accel. He previously worked on Wall Street at an algorithmic trading firm focused on commodity futures.
