Alexis McGill Johnson

Alexis McGill Johnson is the President and CEO of Planned Parenthood Federation of America (PPFA) and Planned Parenthood Action Fund. In this role, she leads the organization's mission to provide vital health care, education, and information to millions of people across the United States.McGill Johnson is a renowned social justice leader, political organizer, and advocate for reproductive rights and access to quality, affordable health care. She has been part of Planned Parenthood's leadership for over a decade, serving as PPFA board chair, Planned Parenthood Federal PAC chair, and Planned Parenthood Action Fund board member. Before becoming President and CEO, McGill Johnson co-founded and co-directed the Perception Institute, a research consortium focused on reducing bias and discrimination. She has also taught political science at Yale and Wesleyan Universities.McGill Johnson holds a BA in Politics from Princeton University and an MA in Political Science from Yale University. She is a frequent commentator in the media and serves on the boards of organizations such as Color of Change and the Leadership Conference for Civil and Human Rights.
