AKASH SHAH

Akash Shah is a US-based executive currently serving as the Chief Growth Officer and Global Head of Growth Ventures. He is also a member of the BNY Executive Committee. Akash is a graduate of Yale University.As Global Head of the Growth Ventures business, Akash focuses on harnessing the full potential of software and investment solutions through the development of Private Markets Solutions, BNY Data & Analytics, and Wealth Technology. Growth Ventures accelerates and scales existing businesses, builds new products and services, and partners with other industry leaders to create new capabilities outside BNY.

Akash joined BNY in 2018 as Head of Strategy and later was responsible for marketing, communications, and Global Client Management, the commercial organization covering the firm’s largest and fastest-growing clients. Previously, Akash was a partner at McKinsey & Company, the global consultancy, and co-led their capital markets and investment banking practice. He is a frequent contributor and speaker on the ongoing transformation of the financial services industry.
