Peter Young lived in China for a decade during which he had professional experiences in international business, innovation, and diplomacy. His career started with various jobs in the British Embassy in Beijing, British Consulate General in Wuhan, and the Catapult Network in the UK. From his experience in China, he learnt about the economic influence of SEZs such as Shenzhen that helped China transform into a market economy. After gaining experience working with bilateral relationships and the structure of governance, Peter Young joined the Free Cities Foundation as a Managing Director. Now, he travels around the world visiting economic zones and forming strategic partnerships.
